Faux High Heels for MMDs

Plugins Faux High Heels for MMDs

This is a HeelAdjust preset for HarliHeels to simulate functioning high heels for MMDs. If you're a high heels enjoyer then you would have realized that scenes lacking them are missing a divine spark. And unfortunately for MMDs, while the motion animation could have captured high heels, they may not translate very well when played back in VaM, with the feet having a tendency to recline towards the neutral position. This preset aims specifically to correct positioning errors of the feet when using HarliHeels, as shown in the demo video below, and to also potentially allow the use of HarliHeels in MMDs which did not capture high heels in their motion animation.

How to Use

1. Extract the preset to VaM\Saves\HeelAdjust. Make a backup if you already have an existing preset for HarliHeels, though I can't imagine why this would be the case.
2. The preset should automatically load when both the HeelAdjust plugin and HarliHeels are enabled on the atom.
3. Move your atom up on the Y-axis to account for the increase in height from the heels, either +0.040 or +0.050 should work fine.

My initial aim was to find a way to simulate high heels for animations that did not originally capture them, and while I couldn't find a consistently reproducible solution for mocaps, this HarliHeels preset seemed to work well enough when I tested it across a dozen different MMDs. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it should be sufficiently serviceable to sustain your immersion.

Mocap Animations
To force heels in mocap animations that do not have them, you can try loading the HarliHeels preset and changing the highlighted physics values of both foot controls to the following.

Simple solution that gives heels physics a bit more realism. Now they dont look like they're floating. Consider me immersed!
