What Does it Do?
This .var contains a small SubScene and a plugin. It supports you to easily add camera rides to existing timeline animations. Use your screen view to record beautiful camride keyframes!
How to Use
1. Open any existing scene containing at least one atom with AcidBubbles' Timeline (Link), already containing your animations. Ensure the animations are properly configured (animation names, length, looping, sequences etc.). No duplicate animation names across segments are allowed and a 'Main' layer must be present (default).
2. Add a new SubScene atom to your existing scene (flag symbol, check 'Select Atom On Add')
3. Click on 'Load Existing', filter for 'RunRudolf' and choose 'CamRide.json'
4. Navigate to the 'CamRideSubScene/CamRide' atom, open it and select the 'EasyCamRideCreator' plugin
5. Select the person atom with your timeline animations in the dropdown list and click on 'Add CamRide Layer'. This will add all same-name animations on a new 'CamRide' layer. These animations will play in sync with your main animations. Position your camera view and record a first camride keyframe (press 'Capture')
6. Use timeline controls to proceed through your animation, and periodically record camride keyframes. Don't forget the keyframe at the end of each (non looping) animation. Repeat for all of your animations.
7. Test your camride animation by hitting 'Play' and the Space key to enter Embody view (ESC to leave). To play the entire sequence, use timeline's 'Play All'.
8. Delete or adjust individual camride keyframes by navigating with the '+/- Keyframe' buttons. Use 'Align' to set your view to the keyframe perspective. You can correct camride keyframes (while being on one) by moving the coordinates/rotation of the CamRide atom, or simply by capturing (overwriting) a new keyframe (press 'Capture').
Limitations
Not tested in VR (yet)
