    We have posted a new VaM2 dev log on Patreon, starting a monthly cadence of written progress updates between Beta releases. Highlights include the new Gizmos System, Selection Carousel, and Modes System with Context-Specific Editing. Beta1.2 is 15 of 21 items complete.

- Updated UI, select material slider is now at the top with increased size for better usage and text readability. Credits to 14mhz for CustomLayoutUI.
- Cutout mode allows you to load a custom alpha mask for transparency effect.
- Using the slider now shows the selected material as highlighted in 3D worldspace. Credits to HAL9001 for CUA_Editor.
- New Hide material toggle.
- New Preserve original shader toggle. Some items come with a custom shader, their special effects shader will be preserved.
- Fixed tiling rules for decals and other maps to prevent visible canvas boxes cutting of shaders and texture bleeding. Your texture settings might need readjustment.
- Improvements to the decal feature made "alternative decal mode" obsolete, it's now removed. The updated version is now the default mode.
- Changed default value of specular intensity to 0.01.
- Added opacity slider for decals.
- Added Alternative Decal mode, use it if decals start bleeding caused by some UV maps (for example curtain by bqbq).
In this mode, multiple decals are still possible, but are forced to be either tiling or not tiling.
- New Decal System: Add multiple decals on your material slots of your CUA (all saved in presets). You can even export the final result canvas as PNG (credits to Chokaphi for his implementation in Decal maker).
- UI rework: Moved Universal preset buttons to the top, colored vamifier buttons, implemented intelligent hide and show feature system.
- More Control: Added rotation and scaling sliders. (Thanks to Bleaching_POV for the feedback).
- File browser remembers last texture location as quality of life feature.
- Added Subsurface and Specular color pickers.
- Color picker now remembers setting when hidden.
- Added Custom Gloss texture support.
- Added Emission support (requires Macgruber's Postmagic bloom effect). Credits to Blazedust.
- Fixed critical bug which deleted original diffuse map when toggling color.
- Added a experimental feature to fix prefab materials with missing backsides. (Thanks to ivam for the feedback)

- Renamed universal presets to universal material preset. They now correctly apply to the currently selected material slot and can be used on every prefab.
- Saved presets will now appear instantly in save menu, no reload required.
- Plugin now correctly starts with collapsed texture tiles & offset menu.
- Potential fix for sometimes not registering first click on "Save prefabname preset" button.
- Removing the plugin now instantly loads the original state of the prefab (and removes unused plugin data).
