BrowserAssist

Paid Plugins BrowserAssist

New Features:
  • New Backups feature to quickly backup and restore BA meta data such as Tags
  • New Reset feature to reset BrowserAssist
  • Added Remove All Clothing button on the Clothing Presets action tab
  • Added Load Defaults button to the Clothing Items action tab
  • Added features to create a default Appearance Preset name when saving based on source scene Atom name or the current preset name
  • Added support for Tag names to include other non alpha numeric characters (except a comma)
Bug Fixes:
  • Resolved issues where side Tags panel was partially appearing when right aligned and other scenarios
  • Fixed an issue that was causing duplicate local resources after a folder move operation
  • Resolved an issue where shift, control and alt keys were triggering the multi select functionality undesirably. The keys will only now activate multi select when the pointer is over the resource thumbnails.
Bug Fixes:
  • Addresses a specific issue that some users were experiencing with v1.18.0 which prevented plugin loading due to duplicate meta data entries (present due to problems from earlier versions).
WARNING: Please backup your tag meta data before using this version (see instructions here). Once upgraded you wont be able to roll back to a previous version of BrowserAssist without restoring your tag data from the backup. Please note that I'm also away for almost 2 weeks following this release, so I'm not going to be able to support any issues until I return (please report as usual).

New Features:
  • A new tab under clothing items allows browsing and loading of individual Clothing Item Presets - these are the configuration of single item of clothing (rather than clothing presets which are multiple clothing items formed into complete outfits)
  • Options to load just the material settings (e.g. colors and textures) or just the non-material settings (e.g. physics) of a Clothing Item Preset.
  • A special 'Primary' tag for Clothing Item Presets designates a single preset as primary and optionally will merge its non-material settings (e.g. Physics) with other preset loads. This allows Physics to be set for one Primary preset but then applied on other preset loads, allowing you to optimize the physics settings once rather than on multiple presets.
  • Save, delete and rename local (i.e. not in VAR packages) clothing item preset files. Requires the SymLinks functionality to be enabled.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a range of tag data storage issues that were causing failures on BA startup. Hopefully the occurrences of meta data stores being corrupted will be much reduced.
  • Fixed an issue with BASettings.cfg not loading on startup due to a default Tag filter setting.
New Features:
  • In the PluginUI, Creators can be marked as 'Preferred' for a given resource type (e.g. Scene or Appearance Preset). Once marked as preferred then they will appear at the top of the Creators filter drop down list in the main Browser window.
  • The sort order for the Creators drop down in the browser filter, can now be configured on a per resource type (or kept as the default order). Sort order is either alphabetically or by resource count.
Bug Fixes:
  • Combi tags were not persisting between plugin reloads.
  • Combi tags were not always refreshing correctly when dependent tags were changed
New Features:
  • Custom Unity Asset (CUA) browser - browse, tag and activate CUA and Scene asset bundles.
  • Remove All Clothing button added to the clothing browser actions.
This version provides some defect fixes & tweaks:
  • Resolved issue that was causing issues when deleting VARs that contained clothing items
  • Tweaked the clothing items browser to make it more performant
  • Introduced a warning dialog that appears once to inform users how Clothing item Tags are synchronised between VAM and BrowserAssist
  • Introduced a warning dialog that appears once to inform users about the SymLinks batch file. Wont appear if SymLinks have already been setup.
This version provides some defect fixes:
  • Resolved issue that was causing duplicate Tags to appear under certain conditions
  • Corrected the built in Clothing Type tags for Male Clothing items
New Features:
  • Additional Tagging window. Optional side bar can now be opened allowing a larger list of Tags to be selected from when applying Tags to resources. Can be opened using the '<' button in the top right corner of the Tags action tab.

Bug fix/Tweaks:
  • Fixed a bug causing clothing items to be missing if the containing VAR was removed and then replaced.
This version provides an alternative browser to the Clothing items browser in VAM. It allows browsing of hundreds of clothing items on a single page (compared to the 10 items per page in VAM). Tagging can be applied to multiple clothing items simultaneously. Supports the Favourite flag (not available in VAM browser).

Note that Clothing Tags are synced between VAM and BrowserAssist, but there are some limitations. Tag changes in VAM can be synced be using the Refresh button in BrowserAssist (or on a BrowserAssist restart). Tag changes in BrowserAssist are only synced to VAM when VAM is restarted. If tag changes are made in VAM before a sync is performed they may overwrite Tag changes that have been made in BrowserAssist for a given clothing item. To avoid conflicts, its advised that you either use BrowserAssist or VAM for clothing tag changes in a given VAM session.

New Features:
  • Clothing Item browser - browse, tag and activate male and female clothing items. Complete alternative to the limited VAM Clothing browser.
Bug fix/Tweaks:
  • When using the random load features, the randomly loaded resource will become the primary selected resource.
  • Merge load setting is persisted by resource type rather than globally.
This version provides a number of features related to the 'Real Clothing' toggle that was introduced in VAM 1.21 recently. In this lastest version of VAM, every clothing item now has a toggle (on the standard VAM clothing Adjustments page) to indicate if the clothing item is "Real". By default every clothing item is set to be "Real". The intention of the toggle is to differentiate clothing items that are not real such as Hunting-Succubus' Eye Shading clothing items. These items (although implemented as VAM clothing items) are features of the persons anatomy rather than a worn clothing item. The only use of this differentiation that Meshed has implemented appears to be the option in the Clothing browser to "Remove All Real Clothing". This version of UIAssist extends that principle to a number of additional functions.

Note that the 'Real Clothing' toggle is only persisted when a piece of clothing is first created or it is subsequently modified and then saved in a scene or a preset.

New Features:
  • Save Presets and Scenes directly from BrowserAssist UI. Options to do instant saving with unique filename. For preset saving, there are options to not capture a new screenshot for the thumbnail. Tags
  • Introduced an 'Only Suppress Real Clothing' toggle as part of the Appearance Preset Load operation. This will mean that any non real clothing items are loaded as part of an appearance preset load - even when other real clothing items are suppressed.
  • Introduced an 'Only replace Real Clothing' toggle as part of the Clothing Preset Load operation. This means that non real clothing items on the current target person are kept when a new Clothing Preset is loaded.
  • Built in tags (e.g. gender tags) can now be set as 'Preferred' allowing them to be listed at the top of filter drop downs.
Bug fix/Tweaks:
  • Fixed a few issues in VR where the Hide/Favorite/New toggles for a resource incorrectly appeared.
