Shadow Venom submitted a new resource:

Tail Forge - Every kind of tail, all in one plugin. Just plug and play

🦊 TAILFORGE 🐙
V1.0
Grow a tail. Or nine. Or become the serpent.
One plugin. No Unity, no Blender, no rigging, no keyframes.

❤️ Made for the VAM community, born from a request on my Discord

🧵 You know the old way. Model a tail in Blender. Rig it bone by bone. Export FBX. Build an AssetBundle in Unity 2018. Smuggle it...

This sounds AND IS amazing, but I was hoping for a very unique user case---having the option for the tentacles to appear on the back of the character, instead of replacing the bottom.

I'm currently working on a dedicated tentacle play plugin.

Hi Venom, this is a nice work! What's the name of the white hair girl and the egypt snake girl in the middle? Thank you so much.:)

They’re all Noelle, just in different outfits.

The community-request update

🆕 What's new

v1.1the community-request update. Thank you TheGesterr & KuRO!
  • 🍂 2 new presets: FOXY (realistic leaf-profile fox brush) and GUMIHO (nine leaf-blade tails) — 15 total.
  • 📐 3 new shape axes: belly (leaf/spindle profile), fur lean (comb the coat toward the tip), root width (the body junction stays anatomical no matter how big the...

Hello Shadow Venom,

Is it possible on octopus or mermaid or snake to keep the human butt and gentials and so move the tail starting point just a bit lower and hide the legs also?

Hello Shadow Venom,

Technically, it's doable, but anatomically, I honestly have no idea how to make it work.

Am wondering if this work's with CUA tail's from custom atom's or able to use custom CUA tails to be use with this mod?

Is there a way to have the tail switch between different movement modes (sway, still, slither, etc) on a timer automatically? If not could that get added? It would be a lot more immersion to the tail movement vs just a repeating motion.

I can add a randomness weight slider for you.

TailForge V1.2 The "make it feel alive" update

v1.2 : the "make it feel alive" update. Thank you @youhotyet
  • 🍃 Motion variation : the tail wanders through drift, stillness and flicks on its own instead of running a perfect loop. Nine-tail sets desynchronize properly.
  • 🚶 Motion follows body : swings wider while she walks, settles when she stops.
  • 🗂️ Rebuilt panel : four tabs, a pinned header, and nine controls that used to be visible-but-dead are now hidden until they...

Much appreciated!

Hi, @youhotyet This is live now in v1.2. Thanks for the nudge, you are in the changelog.

I went a different way than a timer, and I think it lands closer to what you were actually after.

Within one creature the modes are not really separate states. Still, Sway and Wag are three points on one amplitude-and-speed axis: amplitude zero is Still, small and slow is Sway, big and fast is Wag. So instead of jumping between them on a clock, there is now a Motion variation slider that lets the tail wander along that axis by itself. Turn it up and it drifts, slows down, hangs off to one side for a while, flicks, and settles again. Never the same loop twice, and because nothing ever switches, there is no snap between states.

Two things fell out of it that you may like more than the original ask:

  • With variation on, Still stops meaning frozen. The tail rests, and every now and then it moves. That is the idle I think most anthro characters actually want.
  • On Kitsune and Gumiho all nine tails now do their own thing instead of breathing in unison.

I also added Motion follows body: the tail swings wider while she walks and settles down when she stops.

Both sliders default to 0, so nothing changes in your existing scenes until you reach for them.

One thing I deliberately did not do is cycle across species. A cat that periodically slithers reads as broken rather than alive. If you do want hard mode switching for a transformation scene, Motion Mode has always been trigger-driveable, so Timeline can do it today.
