So I downloaded some makeup off of the hub but have no idea how to apply it in the scene. Plz help

Make up is usually a Decal texture. Go to the skin textures tab on the person add it to the Decal/Face slot on the top left.

If the look you are using already has a face decal that you want to keep, you can layer multiple decals with this plugin by Chokaphi.

Select, atom, control, Save look. If you want to save all the plug-ins on the model as well save a preset
does saving the look save just the makeup? some video tutorials i see online have a dedicated makeup decal folder but all the textures i have are unpacked only in game so i am not sure on how to keep them...like how do i create a makeup folder to put my textures in

Saving a look saves almost everything (morphs/skin textures/clothing.) If you want to add just the makeup decals to different looks, just add them to the face decal slot of the look.

If the makeup textures you are using are packed in a Var file, you can unpack it in game with the package manager, or you can find the var in you "addon packages" folder and unzip it with winrar/7zip like any zip file. You can then copy the textures to edit them or copy them to another folder (don't move or edit the originals or things get confusing.)
I recommend making a folder with your name in Custom>Atom>Person>Textures>*YourName>*Makeup. and put your custom textures in there. That way you can add your custom textures easily from there.

Saving a look saves everything but the plug-ins you put on a model, if you want to save both the look and plug-ins use save preset, as for the makeup folder I'm not sure, since its a skin decal its already in a folder on your pc, you just have to know what to look for when you want to load it. Like you have the creators names and just search for that.
