Hi wgsoup, thanks for WindControl+! A report for v1.6 (WgSoup.WindControl+.8).
The wind keeps blowing while VaM's Freeze Motion/Sound is on.
WindControl_Person.cs,
WindControl_Object.cs and
WindControl_Target.cs don't check
SuperController.singleton.freezeAnimation, so
Update() keeps calling
AddForce on the person's rigidbodies and writing wind values to hair and clothes. Measured in game with freeze on: with the wind atom on, the body still moved (pectoral about 0.5° / 1.3 mm, hip 0.37 mm within 8 s); with it off, everything stayed perfectly still.
Suggestions:
1. Return early while frozen:
C#:
if (SuperController.singleton.freezeAnimation) return;
at the top of
Update() in the three scripts.
2. The forces are applied from
Update(), so the push depends on frame rate: a force only lands in the next physics step, and when one frame runs several physics steps, only the first one gets it. Moving the
AddForce calls to
FixedUpdate() would keep the strength the same at any frame rate. (I noticed this while Naturalis was calibrating: the wind kept pushing, so the body never settled.)
