I couldn't figure out a way to do it with timeline or the timeline workshop alternative.

got an animation with head and hand position and rotation looking around at things, head throw backs etc. it's got thrusting too but I'm trying to remove that position data from head as much as possible so I can reuse the animation in other animations.

I could do it manually but even reducing key frames it's a bit of a tedious task (1,000 keyframes)

Thinking if I can lock Y (up/down thrust) and re-record the animation somehow

In Timeline, there is a 'split position/rotation' parameter in the target menu. After splitting, you can edit the position separately, but I couldn't find a way to merge them back together after editing, so do this at your own risk

You can't just remove "headControl" from the Targets tab?
I wanted to keep some of the other position data and definitely rotation

honestly I just tried this before seeing your post and its the best so far. all position datas gone but I can work with that.

i found a solution to merging them back together too, by accident. I think its a quirk of lightning bunnys workshop. copying (by highlighting all keyframes, ctrl+C) all the head rotation targets keyframes then delete both head targets then ctrl+v. it adds the head back merged and pastes only rotation

the head position moved away from its original place a little but easily fixed in bulk changes and offset controller mode and returning it where you want it.
