I export models from DAZ3D to create CUAs, so I can add more people to a scene without causing lag. However, some of these CUAs are affected by scene lights, while others aren't.

and the one affected by the scene light keeps emitting light even without any light source shining on it. I don't know what the reason is. Can anyone help?

Make these changes and use VAM Lights only...see if that gets you what you want.

No, no, I know I can just turn the scene light sliders down to 0 or close to 0 to bypass the issue. But what I really want to know is the root cause. since they are both Cua, why does one change color while the other doesn't?
I have already asked chatgpt, and it insisted that it was an Emission issue from DAZ3D. However, no matter how much I tweaked the Emission settings in DAZ3D, the issue still persists once it's imported into VaM

Without the model its hard to tell. In VAM if you turn down the settings the scene should be completely black. If you see anything then check unity and each texture map that nothing is emissive and no lightmaps are included.
