VaM 1.x VAM Wont Open?

My VAM was working fine until the other day, now all of sudden i cant open it. ive tried copying the updater to another folder and reinstalling VAM but same issue.. What is wrong and how do i fix it? When starting it up it gets stuck in my background processes on task manager.

If it was working fine before, then suddenly stops working. You need to find what changed. It can either be something related to VAM you downloaded, or something completely unrelated.

This is a strange coincidence, i got the same problem yesterday. Several instances in the task manager, nothing happened, even after killing them. Couldn't start any of my various VaM versions. A restart of my computer fixed the problem though.

Don't make correlations when they are not causations
That security issue was there since forever, it did not prevent VAM nor Unity games to work. It's just a security flaw.

I think i just stated exactly that, i used the word coincidence with intent (or maybe my english is even worse than i thought). I just wanted to mention the new patch anyways as i was wondering that there wasn't a message here in the forums in the first place. Sounds quite serious.

The security issue is a new one, isn't it? Wdym by "forever"? Got discovered some months ago and the patch is 2 days old: "Date Patch Available: October 2, 2025". And as this security hole could allow malicious code to run, a non functional vam version would be a very possible result. And once again, no, i am not saying it is the reason.

I think it's better to simply not induce misinterpretations when the thread is talking about a crash problem.

The security issue is there since Unity 2017, that's all I'm saying.
