OMG these were things I was thinking about just last night how I wanted a larger selection of clicks. And the "bind to Cam" feature should work with an AudioSource to create a narrator voice that actually sounds the same wherever the player is in the room because it's - well - hovering just above lol

Would it be possible (you willing!) to add triggers for VAMStoryActions, for some of the story's I do, I like to have an actions panel so you can skip back/forward through the story. At the moment, I have an Action panel for each "scene" and then then same code within in the story (as you can't call the action), which is duplicating work.

So I'm adding this to a scene - nothing in the scene seems incompatible -- but the empty object I add 33 or 35 to is blank, can't add any buttons, it's just broken. Any ideas?

Forgive me if this has been asked already, but is it possible to use something like floatParamRandomizer to control one of vamstory actions sliders? I see there are two options when pointing floatParamRandomizer to vamstory actions to choose either sider or selected slider, but neither one seems to work for this purpose, and I'm confused about how I would be able to control multiple sliders using those two options. I could just use floatParamRandomizer to control the morph directly, rather than controlling the slider, but I doing it this way so I can see the value change live on the slider as FPR modulates it.

Does VAMStory have a feature where player can save their choices and story progress so far into a json file separate from the scene's save? that way the save file can persists between scene updates and player can continue where they left off after the scene creator pushed a new story to the scene and also maybe the story can carry over between different scenes or choices from 1 scene story can affect other scene if it's a shared universe.

This would be a great feature, and I’d love to have it too. However, if your storyline isn’t too complex, you can actually use other plugins to achieve this, such as the VUML plugin. It can store and modify variables, booleans, etc., and you can treat it like a “database.” This way, you can also manage variables like affinity, stamina, or cash amounts, or use variable comparisons to set specific conditions and track game progress with variables or booleans. VUML itself supports exporting/importing all data independently, which is equivalent to saving and loading.

Since version 35, my VamStory isn't saving anymore. No autosave and when I try to manually save, no save is created. VamStoryDirector is saving normally though . Also tried with a clean scene and no session/scene plugins with no luck. What could I do try to solve the issue?

It exists already in VAMS : )

Tools > Mini saves or Mini saves value.
Mini saves just checks for a file, so it's like a true/false thing.
Mine saves value gets a value from a file and can be read by a plugin like VUML.

The tools are just a way to "know" a state, you only need to drive your scene according to what you get from the plugins ^^

I loaded Vamstory onto a empty atom along with lockemx LieStill and two MacGruber Counters. My intent is to create a button layout to adjust the position/angle of the camera and use the layout to create a subscene. The problem I have is that after I load the subscene to another scene the button's "on click trigger" data is lost. Both the Receiver Atom and Receiver displays none. The MacGruber Counters maintained the changes in data which is even more confusing. I was wondering if I was missing a step or is a subscene not ideal for what I am trying to do?

VAMS and pretty much all my recent plugins do not (and won't) support subscenes.

Is there a way to trigger a button in VAMStoryAction by another plugin? It seems all about toggle/toggle button/slider. I tried it all and none of it can trigger a normal click button.

One of my users can't get the buttons to fire the events assigned to them in VamStory. It's an entirely new problem that I haven't heard anyone mention before, so it's on his side. Any suggestions as to what I might recommend he do to fix his problem?

This is what he writes:"I have an issue with your latest scenes; they load up ok without errors, but clicking on the 'start' panel has no effect, nothing happens. If I go to the timeline plugin on the characters, and select the animations there, they run without problem. But the initial panel/button of the scene does not start the story. I have this same issue with Keith and Lorraine, Mom and Josh, Vacation, Laptop problems, etc. I am running the scenes in VR. Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix this ??"

It could be a plugin interfering, is the user running VamX? Some other session plugin?

Is it somehow possible, to change appearence options of VAMStory with triggers?

I can only find RestoreAppearanceFromStore1 to 3 and default.
Not sure if these are the appearance options in VAMStory, and if so, how to store them into them.

Something else that I really appreciate about VAMstory, is the Toggle Button, whitch allows to trigger toggle On and Off by separate individual triggers.

I often use UIButtonImage in VAM to trigger stuff, but there is no possibility to toggle on and off by separate triggers.
It would be really amazing to have an Image Button in VAMStory with separate toggle On and Off triggers.

Or is there any other way to do that?

So far I've just put a VAMStory Toggle button in front of it and made it transparent, but this is a bit cumbersome.

There is a tutorial in HZMDemos talking about that. Which is a combination of Director and Story. Look for the director tutorials in the VAMStory folder.

It would be really amazing to have an Image Button in VAMStory with separate toggle On and Off triggers.

At some point I'm planning to add a fork of the actions which would allow custom images. No ETA planned.

Sounds great.... uhm... wat is ETA?

Just another little question... is it somehow possible to also change text opacity?
Otherwise, this would be a great feature too.

Really useful, for creativity or in my actual case, as in front of something trigger completely transparent

I put the VAMStory Button it in front of an image, so I can click on the image and it triggers then the VAMStory button in front of it, which is completely transparent.
So, neither background nor text should be visible.

But I just found out, that there doesn't need to be a text in the textfield.
Just thought the basic text (type label...) would appear agian if I do not enter a text

I added a slider to control the global speed in timeline. The Vamstory slider moves the test transition slider but there is no change to the animation speed. When I directly move the test transition slider there is a speed change. Is there a setting I may be missing to get it to function properly?

can someone tell me why the story language changes into english automatically, always after the first load of the text displayed in my native language 1 sec. I remember it used to work fine
