Theres a guide for resync: https://hub.virtamate.com/resources/backing-up-vam-to-a-local-disk-with-rsync.55217/

However I want to perform a clean install to get rid of any unknown patches and dll's and ect ect. BUT which folders do I need to save before I do a clean install (of VAM and repatch it up to current); I am assuming I just need these:
  1. AddonPackages
  2. AddonPackagesBuilder
  3. AddonPackagesFilePrefs
  4. AddonPackagesUserPrefs
  5. Custom
  6. Saves
Am I missing anything critical?

AddonPackagesBuilder is useless, you can throw it out.
But beyond that, you're good. Unless you got some creator who decided to put some stuffs outside of custom ;)

Note: If you keep everything in these folder. It's not gonna be that much "cleaned". There's pretty much barely any data outside of these folders.

If you have the space somewhere. Keep the whole vam folder somehwere.

Make a new install with some basic dependencies and copy over what you need else later.

Then nothing get lost.
