VaM 1.x When will VAM2 be Ready to do stuff like in the VAM1?

I'm new to Virt-A-Mate and I’d like to know when VaM 2 will be ready with the same features as VaM 1.
I want to make a visual novel game, so I’m wondering:
Should I wait for VaM 2, or should I learn VaM 1 instead?

And will VaM 2 has self collision for the clothing?
 
  • There is no ETA on a feature complete VAM 2 for now
  • I don't think anyone can tell you what to do for your own project. If you want to work right now on your own novel, I can only suggest to learn VAM 1 as VAM 2 is still nowhere near ready for doing that.
  • Clothes self collision is (unless I'm not aware) not something that has been talked about. That said my two cents... if it is something that might be interesting on paper, is probably not a good idea for a realtime game.
