When start VAM steamVR and Oculus software both running. Does it affect performance in anyway?

SteamVR starting because of this: https://github.com/fholger/openvr_fsr/releases Is there any downside both of these running when start vam? Is there anyway to disable steam vr? I'm using Rift S
