I imported the scene animations from Sacochips, but after saving, I couldn’t reload them. I’ve determined it’s an animation issue, though no error messages were displayed. Why can’t I reload them? Does anyone know? Here’s an example scene.

Does anyone know what's causing this? It really has me puzzled.o_O

This is the author's homepage, where you can view his scenes.

Errors are logged when it's something missing that was referenced, or a plugin expects something and it's not provided, and this type of stuff. You won't get error logging for things that are not "code errors".
An "animation issue" is not an error, it's almost always a user mistake, a lack of experience doing animations or misplaced expectations. Essentially you need to find what is not working according to what you expect to work, and learn from that. That is how people learn, by doing and fixing things.

Because I went to check on your other question and found the size of the unpacked scene JSON to be 350 MB, I checked this one and unpacked it totals 750 MB. VAM will not load a scene beyond ~500 MB.
It's not an animation issue, it's just too much data for a VAM scene JSON.

What you can do is to redo the animation imports you did before, but before saving, run "Reduce" in Timeline to limit how many frames the animation has. Save and make sure it's well below 500 MB and with no noticeable changes.

WTF?
I'm trying to combine all my favorite scene animations into a single scene so that any changes—whether to the map, plugin presets, or character presets—will apply uniformly across all of them. My other scenes are already nearly 500 MB—is there a way to add more?

As I said, these mocaps use A LOT of frames and that's why you need to use the Reduce option in Timeline to remove unneeded frames. You can add as many animations as you want as long as you can save the JSON and it's well under 500 MB in size.
