Solved What to do with non var files

So i downloaded a couple scenes but they came in a folder with no var files just .json and jpgs i tried just dropping the folders in addonpackages but they dont appear ingame

You will have to put those files in yourself. If you click the open scene button it should show you the path to the folder they need to go in.

...or ...or ...ask those 'lazy' creators (you got files from) to create a proper package, it's not rocket science.

Seriously, anyone willing to share any content should be familiar with base folder structure(core features) and how to create a var package, period.
...loose scenes, loose assets, all that loose garbage is not helping anyone...too much laziness

Yeah its quite unfortunate because there really isnt very many beginner friendly guides to these kinds of things
