Question What does Replace do in Clothing User Prefs?

Just as the title says, what effect does the Replace check box have the Tags in Clothing User Prefs screen?

I've tried finding out what this does, but I can't find an answer. I think it replaces the default tags, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

You can use it to change/add custom tags, but you can't fully remove built-in tags (yellow).
Just check desired tags and hit replace, it should use custom tags and avoid built-in tags.

Take built-in "Fancy Bra" for example,
check "arms" region and hit replace.
Now Fancy Bra will use only "arms" tag
built-in: torso, bra, underwear & lingerie tags are ignored, until you uncheck replace.

Thank you for this explanation, I didn't have known this for sure, too.
I seldom use those tags. I still filter clothes by only typing in words like "shoes" and being pissed when they are called "sneakers"

@TToby, I found that some things are just not labeled, named, or tagged to my satisfaction so I started going though them for better management.
