How can I do this?
It's not what "hide material" would do. It's what setting "alpha adjust" to -0.998 on clothing items would do, but Wall, Slate or WoodPanel do not have alpha adjust.
I tried it with cubes but they didn't respond to shadowing the way clothing did. The shadows ended up too weak.
Basically I'm trying to add "shadow only layers" to this room:
It probably wouldn’t work on the bed anyway as it’s not a flat surface, so I’m open to suggestions.

Created from RealityCapture using 500+ photos. Around 200k Vertices, so fairly good performance. Lighting is all static and baked in (Unlit texture in unity). by fhernand https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/bedroom-869e6ec859a84240b9a099ae829f47fa
