Question Valve Index Controllers not working in 1.22.0.2

As the title says, my Index controllers will not work in VaM. They have worked in the past. Since the last time they worked tons of things have changed. The most significant would be I updated to windows 11 and I updated to 1.22.0.2. I've tried the basics: turning both the program and the pc off/on, verifying integrity, resetting the defaults in app.

Try running Steam (not SteamVR, the Steam client itself) before starting Vam. That fixes it for me.

Thank you for the suggestion. I normally run it from a imported shortcut through steam. I have tried running it through steam and steamVR, through the launcher and through the batch files. No luck though.
