Hi, I just got an index and love the finger control the controllers give you in games.

In VAM, is it possible to get the fingers of a posessed person to be controlled the same way? via setting or plugin?

Or is the only way to take advantage of it, that one selection in the VR preferences for hand type? If so, is there a plugin or something that adds collision to them?

Solution
If you are possessing a Person atom hands, the finger tracking should just work without any setting changes. As the Person has collision on by default, you should have collision with these possessed hands. You may want to tweak the tracking factor settings to give a bigger range of motion. The default is set to 0.25 to allow grabbing without crushing and odd physics issues this can cause. You can adjust in User Preferences VR1 tab shown here:

You can also enable just floating VR hands using the selection on the VR2 tab. There are also a couple of shortcuts on the bar to help toggle hands on/off as well as collision on/off, shown here:
