anybody try and add a streamdeck to vam? maybe push button to drop character? change cloths? looks? presets? any of you script writers look into this? way above my head. just curious.

OMG. Try vamX 1.15 by vamX. Totally amazing. Use it for a while you will be hooked. Also works with serial devices.... ;-)

yea i got vamx couldnt figure it out, only able to get 3 buttons up on it so i was like whatev... it sits idle in my system today.

VR or Desktop? VR version is much more usable. Also 1.15 fixed a lot of issues when Importing a scene and merging.

both to be honest. and like i said i couldnt even get past the set up on that, all i had was 3 tabs and it was kinda pointless. couldnt figure out how to add more to it so i gave up on it. tried it again after u mentioned it. still couldnt get past the 3 tab setup. im also not sure what version i got.

Hmmm. Maybe hit up Vamx for suggestions? I’ve never seen a 3 tab menu.

to answer my owm question. jayjaywon makes a plugin called ui assist, creates a little box and u can program stuff to the box. its almost like creating a digital streamdeck inside the vam game. kinda cool. complex. and im pretty sure thats the program i spoke of above, it wasnt vamx.

hi @motorcityclimber

I highly support checking out JayJayWon's UIAssist. It's an amazing plugin that revolutionised how I use VaM.
Just a flick of your wrist and the options show on screen, and the target atom is set by your gaze. Amazing.

My current use goes something like this:
  • Several buttons for random pick of appearance presets by type (keep scale and current clothing)
  • Clothes undress/remove/load preset/active clothes tool
  • Fluid clothing presets
  • Play/edit
  • Buttons to load some plugins on gazed atoms
  • GiveMeFPS plugin triggers because my GPU is weak
  • Some other weird stuff
Just the random appearance alone has brought a lot of variety to the small number of scenes I play often.

I am late to the party but the steam deck runs VAM great through the Steam streaming/link using the the SteamDeck. I am bit too scared to try it out on the steamdeck directly. Because you honsetly need a keyboard and mouse to really edite scenes and do animations and such.

But in terms of the steamdeck controls to navigate around and browser through through the VAM Hub, and even run scenes and add favorites and ect ect... it works great and feels rather comfortable.... It makes me want to use a controller with VAM through my regular desktop PC.
