GUIDE VAM+STANDABLE (guide is in wip)

intro:

this is only possible now because of the release of a vmc plugin by jadeshower,
and the software VMC pre-releae version (paid).
this guide is destined for tinkerers who know how to handle standable,
if you have use of standable in other games then it's worth a shot.
for better performance you'll have to tweak and experiment yourself,

also it's possible to mix tracking features like facial or finger maybe via vseeface, not sure.
and also mixing trackers like slime or pico if you like to experiment.
or just track lower body alone.

requirements:

+VMC Mocap Plugin by JadeSower

+ Standable (paid)
on steamvr

+ VirtualMotionCapture0.59r2 pre-release version (3$ patreon)
https://www.patreon.com/c/sh_akira/posts
(before buying try the free version0.59.f2)
use this to calibrate well with standable, but you won't be able to send tracking data to vam

+ vroid character free (need to sign in)

+ pico connect (not entirely sure if VD can't, need test)

/////////////////////////////////

first you need to test successfully VMC0.59r2 with steamvr,

start pico connect
start steamvr
start standable (should be active if not enable then restart steamvr)
standable adjust your height if too high (adjust floor and bed settings, it's an option on standable desktop dashboard)

///////////////////////////////////

start VirtualMotionCapture.exe you should see a light blue screen, you should also see the control panel menu (if not start it also mannualy VirtualMotionCaptureControlPanel.exe inside subfolder)

vrmload1.jpeg

click load VRM button, then load VRM (mikumiku type character that you'll have to DL)
now you should see your character

again control panel, click "settings" button (not "open settings")
click "open tracker assignments settings"
you should see on lower panel your standable tracker populated + headset + both controllers (green highlight means they are tracking)
assign your elbows knees etc (need to keep an eye on waist .. for later)

osc1.jpeg

return to the big settings screen look for vmcprotocol motion sender (top right corner, if not present you don't have the "r2" version of VMC)
check "vmcprotocol motion sender", (should remain on local host default port, 127.0.0.1:39539)

calibration4.jpeg

click calibration on vmc control panel
align you grey sphere bones-joints (position wise and depth wise)
t-calibration pose hit calibration (5s count down)
check mikumiku VRM character if it moves well enough then this is the exact result that you should have in VAM.

you are all done: save settings

//////////////////////////////////////////////////

back to steamvr overlay make sure that there is no confusion between hip and waist on the tracker assignemnt,

vam1.jpeg
vam2.jpeg

start VAM from steamvr desktop (VaM (OpenVR).bat)
once in VAM load your character
download VMC MOCAP Plugin from JadeShower
Load plugin and activate listener same port 39539.
load plugin passenger (head)

should be working. (but remember that you'll have to test extensively vmc character tracking before starting vam)
