Solved (solved) Lost z axis control

I was trying to improve graphics and controls and in user preferences I selected "reset all settings to default" and now my player height adjust or z axis does not work when I move the control joystick up and down as before

I have tried looking again in user preferences but I just can't Seem to be able to fix this or find the correct setting. What am I doing wrong?

In navigation there's an option to lock player height which was checked on, I unchecked it and it now works
