Please provide a large milkyway or galaxy skybox. I want to blend it with my solar system scene
That's a bit beyond my skill set I'm afraid, my Google Maps-fu is strong but that's about it ?

If you can find the right skybox yourself then I can put it in an assetbundle for you though.

Hi! Is it possible to use this with skymagic?
No, I did make it compatible at one point but there were problems with how Unity can't handle skybox rotation and a few other asset compatibility issues that made it more trouble than it was worth.

Skyboxes and ground planes - a match made in heaven.

Noob here. How do I use these? Google gives me nothing but 4 year old posts that might be outdated. I don't see them in the Scene Lighting tab; all I see are the stock skyboxes.

Hey! You need to add a Custom Unity Asset atom to your scene then you can add it in that.

Okay. After watching this, I've got a Custom Unity Asset in my scene. Now what? It isn't clear to me what to do. I don't see any options to edit materials.

Are there full instructions for adding skyboxes somewhere for people new to VaM? This is very confusing and even on the help forum, I'm not getting step-by-step instructions. It seems like people just assume I know what to do by saying I need a Custom Unity Asset.

Click "Select File..." Open the Skyboxes folder and select the asset, then you can select them from the "Asset" dropdown box.

Hi mate, i wanted to use one of your skyboxes for upcoming asset, i was about to load eosin's VR renderer plugin to record something.
only for Vam to give some errors about some shaders . and had to fish out what was casing it , only to find out it was the skybox
strange. i tried one of my old sky boxes to test and the VR renderer worked .

discovered the skyboxes are not an issue , that the errors is due to shaders that the VR renderer couldn't load
then found looking in the var in esosins script folder has something to do with the shaders in the VRRenderer.shaderbundle failing to load.
not sure why. this also happend with a unity mirror in Ghostwalden's Apartemento asset.

Do you have an exact error message? I'm aware of an issue that will stop the asset loading alongside certain other assets and I have a fix for it which I'll roll out soon, but it is nothing to do with shaders.

Strange it does the same with Ghostwalden's Apartemento only that it shows the monitor with image. in the bottom right corner.where as using the skybox no image .

What was the cause mate? would love to know as it would help me to avoid it, if i end up doing something in unity that will cause the bug.
great job on the update.
It was a mistake in the Unity export since I was such a n00b with it, When you go to build the assetbundle it gives it a default name "newbundle". This is usually fine and you can rename whatever you want after the export, BUT if someone else has done the same thing then the two assets will refuse to load alongside each other.

Long story short, always name your assetbundle something unique as you export it from unity.
