So I'm trying to clean up by starting fresh on a new drive. Can I move all the var files I want and have the package manager scan my main directory to carry over all dependencies? I'm only seeing the option to scan the hub, if there was a way to scan my original vam folder it would save alot of time.

The program will only scan the current AddonPackages folder, and offer to download the missing vars from the hub. It won't get the missing items from a local folder. That's the way it works. Your old folder may have some items that are no longer on the hub, so don't trash that yet.

yeah I'd say half of my dependencies aren't on the hub, but since I have so many I was hoping there'd be a way to automatically find and move the required ones over. I thought I heard of a program that scanned your pc for missing references not found in the hub? Maybe I'm getting it confused for something else.

I think that's right, but I don't think it will look to find them somewhere on your PC. Sometimes you gotta wade in there with the hip boots. Note that you can let it download things that are on the hub, then exit, relaunch, and load up a default scene. The error log should have the whole list of things that are missing. You can select the error log text, copy it and paste it into a text file outside of Vam. Then you can look through that list for things on your other disk.
