when i change my user preferences in virt a mate 1.22 i can't keep my new setting
can you help me ?

User preferences save automatically to the file "prefs.json" in your VAM folder. You can open that file in a text editor and see if it has the same settings as you have in-game.

Perhaps you are using some plugin that overrides your user preferences, such as GiveMeFPS?
