Quick question about dependencies

If the readme for a .var file says that I need a version of some type of plugin...say AcidBubbles.Timeline.172...do I need that specific version? Or would a newer version like AcidBubbles.Timeline.178 work for that as well?

It depends on the plugin. You're usually safer with the correct version since the author usually knew it worked at the time, but in the case of Timeline I'm trying very hard to make it backward compatible, so the newer version should work, though you might see some small differences. If the scene is broken with the newer version (it happens), get the specified version.
