Official Quick addendum to the Verified Creator / Paid Creator policy

[VaMStaff]

Hi Everyone!

An issue was brought to our attention regarding the new Verified Creator badge, and so we just wanted to make a quick addendum to the existing policy.

This addition has no effect on existing or pending applications.

What the badge means — and what it doesn't

Verified Creator status means that, at the time it was granted, the moderation team reviewed the creator's free work on the Hub and found it met our expectations for effort, quality, originality and conduct, to the extent we were able to determine from what was in front of us.

It is not a guarantee. The Hub does not audit every file a creator releases, cannot independently verify the provenance of every asset, and does not continuously monitor Verified Creators. The badge does not mean the Hub vouches for the legality or originality of everything a creator has released or will release, and it is not an endorsement of their paid content.

If you believe any content on the Hub — from a Verified Creator or anyone else — infringes a license or copies someone's work, report it. We investigate reports regardless of status, and status can be revoked.
