Question Question about the purchase

Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing VaM but I'm a bit confused by the differences with the purchase options.

First, I understand that you can buy the original VaM through Patreon, but if I subscribe to Patreon once to download the game and then unsubscribe, will I be locked out of the full feature of the game when I try to play it the next month? I am assuming that you have access to the full game once you download it, but you don't get to update the game to the latest version unless you stay subscribed to the Patreon, but is this correct?

Secondly, I understand that there is VaMX which is an add on, but is it worth getting it with the addon? I would like to know what features are added if I get the VaMX version? I would also like to know people's opinions on whether the AI chat is worth it and if it is worth subscribing to the vamX on patreon or just getting VaMX with a one time purchase on itch.io.

Lastly, what happened to the steam version of VaMX? I saw that there was a thread that said that it is now on steam, but I couldn't find it on steam. Did it get deleted off the store?

Each key is for the series version. If you buy a key for 1.22.0.7 it will be good for all 1.22 versions and won't expire
until you need 1.23

The Steam connection is gone, AFAIK. You don't need Vamx, IMO. It's likely there won't be any updates to Vam 1.x. That means you can buy a key for Vam, subscribe for one month and then cancel. The key you have will be good on that version forever, or until your PC croaks, whichever comes first, LoL. Back up the key!
