DreamGTS submitted a new resource:

Queen Victorias Slave - You wake up after being captured, to hear a seductive voice calling you forward...

Hello, and welcome to my first official VAM scene! I have put in quite a few weeks into this project, so I hope its something you all enjoy. Please be sure to use headphones to enjoy the background music and sound effects!
And be sure to follow me on Patreon/DreamGTS for more content!

This is an scene where you are a captured prisoner of war, and while most of your village was destroyed, you were spared for some reason...and now you hear a voice calling out for you...

Thank you for releasing this scene for free after all the effort you have put into it.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to show in my scene selection window in order to open it. I placed it into my '\AddonPackages' folder as I always do and I don't normally have any issue seeing them after doing this. I have made sure I have downloaded all of the dependancies and placed them in their correct folders.

I even tried deleting it and then downloading it 'in game' using the hub access there. Interestingly, I press 'download' for it, the progress bar goes up as if it is downloading, but instead of turning blue and giving me the 'in library' button it turns back to the green 'download' button again each time.

Any suggestions please? I really want to try this scene out!

Hey! I noticed you used the shiva clothing from my post here, In the future it's best to include this and any other refrenced items as a var reference rather than including in the scene, this allows credits to be given, and reduces bloat for people who may already have these items so they dont have multiples. Great work on the scene by the way! Looking forward to what you come out with in the future.

i agree with jackaroo that it would be best just to create the var , with just your scene .json and jpg , plus any custom items. when packaged vam will create a depend.text file , then just upload both the var and depend file together to Vamhub and users will see what is required to use the scene . as i made that error with including timeline and Acidbubbles said it will cause problems . its still brilliant what you have done with the scene , story telling and the animations
the asian and black female characters would be an interesting idea ,are you meaning as choice of character or adding 2 more characters .

Excellent scene, very well done.

I did want to echo what @Jackaroo and @VamTastic mentioned though as packaging clothing and textures that are already available as vars doubles up these items in the clothing library/install as well as making your var much larger than it needs to be.

For example the Jen textures are already in this:

If the textures are modified from originals it makes sense to include but if not there is no reason to double up on them.

Keep up the good work.

Oh thats strange. Usually What I do is unzip the VAR file, it gives me a custom and saves folder, and I simply drag those two into my directory. Search for any keywords in the file name in the search function in the corner, sometimes it makes finding files easier.

Apologies, I incorrectly assumed that the package builder created a complete list of credits. Ive since resolved the issue :)

Oh simply adding 2 more distinct models, since variety is the spice of life :)

Guess this explains all extracted plugins & stuff (duplicates) inside your package and not dependency references (to actual package/hub content).

I had trouble launching any scenes without this method. Can you perhaps guide me on how to launch download var files properly? ?

Click on open scene button, find the relevant far in far left menu (left menu in center cropped screenshot below) click on it and relevant files should show in the right window. Keep in mind files will only show up when accessing from the relevent button so for the example below, appearance preset saved in a var will only show up when clicking on "select existing" from the appearance preset menu. If the VAR contains a scene json it will show up when clicking the open scene button. If the var doesn't have a scene json it won't even show up in the var list when you click on open scene. Creators should be documenting what is included in their vars though that isn't always the case. Vars with plugins will only show up on the left menu when from plugin tabs (person/scene/session) etc.

Oh wow thanks! Also im curious, do you know how to increase the scale of an environment? It turns out reducing the scale of a person and then attempting to passenger them results in a glitchy not fun experience, so Ill just have to scale everything up instead. Unfortunately I can seem to increase the scale of environments, was hoping there was a workaround.

There is a world scale slider somewhere but environments should also be scalable from the atoms physics tab (should be a scale slider).

Yes, I hae already attempted to use the physics scale slider, and it does nothing. The problem with the world scaler is that if you attempt to scale up to make small persons normal sized, it created visual jitteryness on the limbs :/
