Solved "preset locks overview" resetting when opening a saved scene

So I typically download a scene, replace the characters and make a couple small changes to the lighting and audio. So far I've been making those changes, locking the presets so it stays in subscenes, then saving the "start" scene using the little red button on the bottom ui. The main problem I'm running into is when I load my saved scene, all my edits are there BUT the preset locks tab (in control&physics1) is always cleared. So I manually have to check the hair, skin, and morphs for each character. Otherwise once I open the next subscene, the characters revert to the originals. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

You're missing something, which is something implied by the UI... just below the presets lock, like... right below it "Preserve presets locks at scene load".
One thing tho, preset locks are not saved in the scene, even if you keep it once for scene load, it will reset your next vam session.
