Paint the clothing texture in 3D?

Hello,

I am wondering if there's a method to take texture file from clothing, make it into a 3D model (where all parts of the texture re-join), paint directly on it, and then export the texture file back for use in VAM. I am currently facing challenges because some texture files from clothing are either not connected or are split into different parts in one image. This makes painting difficult, as the texture sometimes stretches or distorts. I recall a plugin that could export clothing as OBJ files, but I can't seem to find a way to do this now.

This is the tutorial I found on YouTube where they use a plugin to export it:

Please note that I am unfamiliar with 3D modeling and usually paint textures on my iPad when the texture is continuous in the image.

Is there anyway I can do such thing?

Many thanks!!

*The picture attach shows a texture file with many parts making painting directly into the 2d image very difficult*
