No more than 420 characters

On my own page if I get a message from someone and want to answer it, when I try to post it, tit says no more than 420 characters allowed. Well, it shuld say so from the start because now I spent half an hour writing a long answer to someone and searhcing for pictures to add and everything and when I go to post it, it complains aobut that all of a sudden

420 was the limit for profile posts. Regular messages is 10000. I just updated profile to 10000 as well. I'm not sure why the default for profile posts would be lower. Maybe to prevent someone from spamming your profile.
