Hello all, I'm a new user that also crashes the app consistently. I'll post here before I cancel the subscription:

My system:
Windows 10
Intel Core i7-5930k (64GB Ram)
NVidia GTX 1080 Ti
Display res (2560x1440)

Fresh install - no additional plugins installed
Creator subscription

The app runs, but within a minute of clicking in the default scene (even on a tool/button), my system restarts. Any advice is much appreciated re: 1) trapping/logging the crash issue and 2) solving the issue.

I see a lot of forum posts with crash issues but not many successful solutions. Is this app abandonware? Luckily I'm only out $8, but I'm really disappointed. Thanks for your help!

No, it's not abandonware and the crashing posts in the forum are not representative of what happens to you, they're usually because of not enough RAM (16 GB or less). In those circunstances a insufficient ammount of RAM leads to a crash of VaM to Windows, it's not the same as a forced reboot like you have.
A forced reboot is usually a emergency response of the PC to prevent damage, most common being overheating. The first thing you should do is to take a look at your system temperatures when you start VaM and check if that's the reason.

Thanks much for the help atani. I just ran a test and the highest core temperature I saw at the time of crashing (almost immediately upon loading the default scene) was 58 deg C. Is this log dump any help?...

Ok, 58º C is definitely not a problem, so that's ruled out.
Are you using RAM overclocking like XMP profiles? In mine this made my system much more unstable, if you are try disabling that and running VaM.

Thanks for the replies! I worked it out. My machine had an older Gen core i7 that I can't even upgrade to Windows 11. I transferred the RAM and graphics card to a new machine with a newer Gen intel i7 chip (making one machine from two) and everything works great now. Thanks again!
