I don't have experience with other headsets apart from the G2 - well, I had a Oculus Go, but that's a completelydifferent league - and I can go for hours with it on my head and be very comfortable (considering it's something stuck on your head). I don't wear glasses or use motorcycles, so having something on my head for hours is not a usual thing for me. Still, quite comfortable doing that, or maybe there's a reduced bloodflow to the head and that helps
The fresnel lenses means that you may find a sweet spot and then it gets a little blurry. There's a lot of complaints on this, but it's not a tech issue, it's mainly a user issue from expectations or usage. If you want to look to the side and have a sharp image you need to move your head, not the eyes. The lenses in your eyes are moved with the eye, but of course the lenses of the headset are not attached to your eyes, so you need to move the head. Finding the right IPD and closeness to the lenses will improve this area of clarity. People's heads and eyes are different, you need to find how to best fit it to you for the best sharpness.
If you do get a G2, mind you that the batteries ask for 1.5 V, and the typical NiMH rechargeables are 1.2 V. Those will work, but they quickly run out of juice and are not so stable for accuracy. Buy a pack of AA 1.5 V lithium rechargeable batteries and your controllers will go for tens of hours per charge, it's like 15 € for a 4-pack.
