When I add a new custom asset (some environment, a room for example), and try to move it around, the room stands still and only a couple thing from the room are moved. Am I doing something wrong? How do I move the whole asset?

Solution
When creating the asset, the creator has the option of making various elements of the package dynamic (meaning they can be moved around by the user) or static (meaning they can't). I've heard something about "static" being required for baked lighting, but I'm not really sure how it all works.

In any case, no, you're not doing anything wrong, and no, there's nothing you as a user can do to fix it. :(

Solution
Yes, as DJ says, assets can be marked as "static" when exporting them from Unity. This allows for various performance optimizations, including lightmaps, physics and occlusion culling. Its especially useful for large assets like rooms or entire environments. If you did not create the asset yourself, there is not much you can do, except moving everything else instead.
