Question Missing scenes

When I browse the scenes, I find that all the scenes saved after a certain time are missing, including those downloaded in the Hub. But they are in fact in my AddonPackages. The disappeared scenes only reappear when I download the content in the hub, and the scenes list gets refreshed. How I can solve this problem. I don't want to download something everytimes when I'm using VAM

They are probably visible again if you choose how many scenes are shown in your tab

If you save the scene with another name it will always shown in the upper list.

ADD: I noticed a strange thing. I have sveral session plugins. But every times I use VAM there always a window asking if I trust plugins. Though I chose “always allowed”. And same problem happens when I open scenes.

Perhaps you have your VaM in some restricted place like Desktop, etc. You need full permissions so that VaM can write things like the plugin's decisions.
Keep in mind that each permission popup is specific to a plugin version or scene's local plugins if used, so you may be allowing different versions and think it's the same but not the case.

I store VAM in mobile disk because it can stuff my pc up. Perhaps it is the problem. I will try move it to fixed disk.

Or you have a corrupted var. You will have to remove all downloaded var that you added recently and check to see which var file is causing it. by adding it back and opening vam.

I'm facing the exact same issue, each time a start a new VAM session, a lot of my scenes are missing. I've tried different solutions, but none is working. I do think there is a corrupted var, but it's going to be hell figuring out which one, especially when I have a near 800GB install.

Any help would be appreciated.

Didn't work unfortunately, tried the rename script, invalid script, and VAM updater, still the same issue.

Ran all scripts via Anaconda, got rid of all "non 7 zip" files that the Var Checker flagged. Currently I'm cleaning up a few non var files and redownloading some essential plugins/vars. But so far the issue is persisting

What about things already mentioned above, like your VaM folder location, running a core check with vam_updater.exe, checking the error log for clues, etc

My VAM folder is in a separate internal SSD storage, permissions similar to C drive. I'm still facing the issue, the attached screenshots are the errors I'm getting.

Oh I forgot to mention I did all of the suggested, VAM updater, finding and deleting dupes, renaming var files, yet still the same issue

You are using folders in AddonPackages with tons of duplicates, you should clean that up. Also some files are copies of existing files, those with _1 for example. It's very messy there.
But you see the one that mentions a dictionary error in the first pic? i think that's the problem that breaks the scanning process, unfortunately it's not mentioned by name. I've seen this happening with VARs that have a asian language characters in file or folder names inside the VAR and VaM cannot read the characters. So here's a clue for you, VARs from asian creators.

So finally the scenes are back after doing what you suggested and deleted any file with a Chinese name. Thank you for the help man. Too bad I can't use them since some of them are really high quality lol. But I appreciate your continuous assistance!

No problem, glad you found the problematic VARs.
You can use them, but you'd need to rename those folders or files and update paths in the presets or scenes in the VAR. I don't know if installing language packs in Windows would help.
