Hello everyone,

I ordered the Méganex MK2, in the meantime I would like to know how to comment on it behaves with a maximum field of view (about 7000x7000) on virt a mate ?
If there are processors, I'd like to know how you come up with this headset in Virt a Mate.

Thank you

You are on an english speaking forum/community. Please use a tool to translate to english.

Since your french is also quite strange, I'm not sure but... you're confusing resolution and field of view.
VR headset generally do not have any real influence on the experience of a game... the only real important thing is having a rig big enough to run an 8K resolution at 90fps+.

I couldn't understand anything with the translator; I could have sworn I'd translated it myself.

And yes, the FOV does affect the resolution. As I said, increasing the FOV on Meganex to 115° horizontally increases the resolution to 7000 pixels horizontally per eye.

The Meganex 8K MK2 ? I'm not sure where you get that information from, the release specs I read before release are a 8K headset with a 3840 resolution per eye.

The field of view does not affect the resolution, as you have headsets with similar resolution but widly different field of views. The field of view is tied to the headset build and lenses, and some allow a slight FOV configuration and is also tied to headset padding or IPD.

Unless you can show me a serious source explaining that about the Meganex, that headset was always an 8K, which means a maximum of 4K per eye, no matter the physical setup for the FOV/IPD of the headset.

Which again, does not invalidate what I was saying. The resolution nor the FOV change much of the VAM experience... besides the precision/quality of the picture you'll see.
