VaM 1.x Laptop or desktop?

Threads regarding the original VaM 1.x
A desktop is usually preferred. Laptops have limited upgrades available. Vam will seriously stress the cooling system on any PC. A desktop will always have an advantage in that area. Just my 2 cents...

Desktop PCs are significantly more powerful. The only reason for a laptop is either lack of space in your apartment or need for mobility.
Just as an example, comparison between the desktop-version RTX5070 and its mobile version. Its a completely different card, significantly less powerful...but marketed under the same name. Of course its WAY more power/heat efficient, though.
