Hello friends, I'm from Italy and, first, please sorry for my ugly english!

This is my first post, even though I have been reading you for a long time...

I switched from a workstation with Intel I9 9980XE (which despite 18 cores, has poor performance in VR, and this despite a 6900XT) to an AMD platform with a 7950X (simple, no X3D).

Well, I turn on the PC, open my favorite scene that I use as a benchmark, and... I get 19 FPS, the same FPS as with the 9980XE!!!

Some info:

The 9980XE is overclocked to 4700 MHz fixed on all cores.
64GB RAM DDR4
1 TB SSD PCIe 3.0
6900XT

The 7950X I just enabled PBO and XMP profile for RAM.
64GB RAM DDR5
1 TB SSD PCIe 4.0
6900XT

I did a couple of benchmarks and the system actually has more computing power:

CPU-Z multi:

9980XE: 12,100
7950X: 15.900

Cinebench r23:

9980XE: 36,250
7950X: 26.980

How is it possible that with a jump of at least 4 CPU generations I have the exact same FPS???

The only thing I have noticed is a noticeable improvement in VAM.exe and scene loading times.
