If you're creating a
Timeline animation you'd probably start by going to the Targets screen and use "Add triggers track" to add an audio track. With that you'll be able to hear the music scrubbing in conjunction with the animation. There's also an option for using "Audio Link" though I've never had to use it, and there's the "Time mode" setting on the Options screen which should be fine with the default setting.

Another thing you'll probably want to do is set the animation's length to the same duration as the music. To get it as close as possible you can change the "Snap" value on the Options screen to the smallest amount. After setting the length you can change the "Snap" value back to the default or whatever you want.
