• Happy Holidays Guest!

We want to announce that we will be working at reduced staffing for the holidays. Specifically Monday the 23rd until Jan 2nd.

This will affect approval queue times and responses to support tickets. Please adjust your plans accordingly and enjoy yourselves this holiday season!

  • Hi Guest!

Please be aware that we have released a critical security patch for VaM. We strongly recommend updating to version 1.22.0.7 using the VaM_Updater found in your installation folder.

Details about the security patch can be found here.

Hello VAMers,

I have made a lot of 2d animations on Illustrator/after effects/Premier/Acrobat over the 5 or 6 years and have a very good understanding how key frames work, I have watched most of the Asco animated tutorials also. So far I've had Vam for just over a week and like what I see so far but have never really worked with anything 3d.

I like the idea of making videos with text via timeline with active sex scenes and story before moving to voice once I am a bit better, I am still very confused on a lot though.

I don't have VR, I want to use my computer like I have in the past on most animation. I have had alot of trouble so far with aiming the window camera, it also seems to move at the start of the next segment while using timeline instead of an instant move which ruins immersion. I had planned on animating most of it myself but am at a loss to understand how the cumshot pluggins (fluids, not sure what else can be used or if there are guides on how I can do this myself?) would trigger the same way as motions do as its separate to the Puppets.

I am also a little confused on exporting video or if there is any plugin that may make it similar to what I am traditionally use to seeing as alot of VAMs recording options seem geared toward recording via a first person perspective rather then set views via multiple cameras triggering or one camera instantly moving per segment.

If anyone could pass on any information, or point me towards any Guides/plugins that tackle any of the above points that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read.

Got a couple tutorials here:

  • Triggers might be interesting. Its not mentioned in the video, but you can add a trigger track to Timeline and just trigger stuff at the appropriate time.
  • Video Capture Part 1 and 2 are obviously interesting for the recording part.
  • LogicBricks potentially useful for scripting camera cuts, scene loads and all kinds of logic. It can also do things like fade-to-black to hide scene loads, etc. However, it's probably easier to record every camera view separately and just assemble it externally in Davinci Resolve or whatever you use to edit video.

I will have a look at those guides, that information is definitely extremely relevant to what I am looking for. Thank you.

If you don't mind I do have a quick question, I have had issues with my scenes turning to black while part way through. I managed to make 5 separate segments in the last one but didnt save for a long time. and when I did save a new file and reload, the scene came up black again.

I have a lot of expressions and hand movements as favorited and on timeline (over 100), I also notice sometimes hands expressions stop working after a little while and figured its mostly to do with the expressions that have other sliders attached. Is there a smarter way of using expressions like specifically only using some sets?

(Sorry for the barrage of questioning, I am finding it hard to find resources on these questions as half the searches end up coming up with Unity guides about the problems I am having which doesn't help me very much haha.)

This is probably smart I don't want to put myself through hours of work just to lose it again, sometimes the simplest solution is the best one. Hopefully I can just pick up the rest over time.
