Question Help with hair that flies straight up whenever moved

I created a look that whenever it is loaded or moved in even the slightest way the hair flies straight up and then settles back down to the normal style. I've been pulling my hair out (pun intended) trying to figure out what setting(s) controls this. I assume it's in the physics tab and logically I thought it would be one of the gravity settings, but after trying each one, the crazy hair effect is still there. I'm guessing the solution is some combination of the sliders in the physics tab but since it looks like there could be dozens of possibilities I thought I'd just ask here to see if anyone else has figured this out.
