Farger Phase 2 - Farger 2.0 Particles - a new chapter for VAM, without the wait

Collection of particle effects designed for making chill scenes. The nature of implementation for many of these effects results in a small period of time before the effect becomes visible.

There are three demonstration scenes to illustrate the new particle effects.

New hologram and synthetic rain effects

This update makes the following changes:
- Adds a variety of holographic effects
- Adds a new conceptual cyberpunk style rain, which I have titled "synthetic rain."
- Adds demo scene four which illustrates a compilation of the five variations of synthetic rain that I have created for this pack.

Love the rain effect, makes an interesting Starfield effect too.

- Three new hologram ray variants (also includes a hologram projector stage asset)
- A Cybernet effect
- A new set of dramatic effects called "chaos theory"
- A series of starfield flythrough animations previously posted in various other scenes/assets, thereby making these effects CC-BY

This update includes the following changes:
- Adds breaking the particle barrier effects (3 variants)
- Adds containment field effects (3 variants)
- Adds power of the force effects (2 variants)
- Adds the Omega 13 particle effect
- Adds Farger 2.0 Demo Scene 6 to illustrate some of the new effects
- Repairs bug in three previously released effects that did not scale properly

farger your pakages have no nice simple star fields, maybe you can take your artist hands on it, beware, the starfield has to be have like 4 or 5 layers and it have to be a tunnel if you understand what i ment

in the middle of the tube it has to be empty, the starfield layers outside

Hello,

The star fields posted in this set are already tubes. These tubes also have multiple layers, I am just cautious about how many particle are produced because large numbers can impact frame rates. Some of these new star tubes have particles in the front so that there isn't an empty black hole in the front of the view. This was done in v9 and v10. These particles at the front only travel for a "short" distance (about 50 meters) in the front of the tube so they won't hit things farther down the tube. The star fields are large, so these have to be positioned a good distance away, so that an even number of stars are in front and behind, examples of this are in the Journey of the Imagination and Captain to the Bridge posts. I used to explain details in my past post, but it is lots to explain, so I apologize about that. I am getting old and worn out in my golden years

The stars are simple pixels. Perhaps when you say simple pixels only you mean that you prefer it not include the star clusters and galaxies in these newer star fields. I have older versions of the star fields that only have stars. Those have been posted in the past for some of my scenes, but I could add them here as well. Those older star fields also do not have the stars in the front so you will see the tube effect better and less worry about crashing into stars.

If anyone is interested in a certain type of particle effect, you can always send me a private conversation and we can discuss what it is, and I can see what I can do. Please private message me if you have more thoughts on this and would like to discuss it more.

This is what version 10 of the Starfield looks like in Unity, it is composed of 12 rings generating stars and six rings generating star clusters. This version does not include galaxies, but it has the dust sphere listed on the bottom, that generates short lives stars at the front of the tube in order to cover up the hole is space. :)

As you can see, at the height of generating particles there are over 7.000 particles being rendered.

jey jes, thx for reply.. so if a starfield is needed as side scroller thats no problem, few rotating tubes with an 4k png file full of some pixels will done that, or a gif file at a simple least

but.. i ment this awesome warp journey effect but only with oldscool "pixels" will be awesome,

i saw (iam not sure if that was in your relase) i saw a "snowfall" particle asset
this was nearly perfect cot there was only pixels, but they was falling just like snow, not like a trip into space ^^

now i guess u know what i ment

Prepare for warp speed!

This update makes the following changes:
- Adds six levels of starfield flythrough (tunnel) effects, warp 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, each level progressing to higher speeds.
- The motion of the stars in the warp 1 starfield effect is barely perceivable, so it is possible to use a few warp 1 tunnels for sky scenes.
- A warp jump bubble effect is included that simulates the strain on space-time as your starship activates the warp drive.

Love the starfield flythrough , not sure whats happening with starfield flythrough 1 . seems static .
maybe a misconception on my part ,is the starfield flythough 1 purposely static, acting as a backdrop ?

Thank you. Warp 1 is explained a little bit in the update section. The thought is that warp 1 is just crossing light speed, so it will take years to go from one star system to another. Therefore, the stars would move extremely slowly. If you zoom into a single star closely, you will see that it is actually moving, like one or two millimeters per second. Another thought I had was that positioning a few warp 1 tunnels high above could support starfilled skies for scenes on a planet.
