Darkness & Desire: A VR EXPERIENCE - You just HAD to light the candles, didn't you?

A short story I've been working on for the Halloween Season. After MANY issues, I think this is finally ready for public consumption.
Though, I feel like this scene may be cursed to a degree. lol.
This is a VR scene and can only be completed in VR.
One of these days I'll learn how to convert them for Desktop. Please let me know if you have any issues.
This is audio driven and the instructions are given through it...

You can't have instructions by audio and expect people can hear. Otherwise looks amazing. But the audio is impossible to hear and it's otherwise completely unclear what to do.

If you were one of the few that got to see this a few days ago, it was pointed out to me that it was maybe too much to expect people to be able to understand verbal only cues. So I took it offline and added in some text details to help you play along. I truly hope you all enjoy this scene....a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into it. Much more than I initially anticipated.

Yes, exactly. Subtitles would be awesome.

I will say, I *did* figure out what to do by guessing. Very, very clever scene mechanics! I loved it.

The newest version does have a "ancient manuscript" object that tells you what to do, and then her voice is subtitled in the background. Did those show up for you? and are you running the latest version?

Use your vr hand to put out the first flame in front of her.

Hi,

I'm a lot more stupid than the previous poster ( ), because for some reason I can't interact with the candles at all. I'm using an Oculus Quest and am assuming the "black flame" is the candle in the middle. When I try to grab it or latch onto it, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Try grabbing it from near the bottom. I use an Oculus Rift and sometimes also have issues. I'm really not sure why. Also double check to see which button in VAM does the grabbing. You can swap them if needed. Once you get to the next part, I think you'll have to have the hands endabled (not the red and blue spheres) in order to continue. Let me know if this works.
