In VR mode, you have hands that interact with collission trigers. Is it possible to interact with collission trigers in desktop mode , as if the camera has physics?

You'll have to take an atom (let's say a capsule that you added) and move it to the trigger area. That is not really convenient but there's no other way.
If you want to link this to the camera, maybe you can add Embody to an atom and add a way move this atom around (passive animation, or add some buttons parented in front of the atom to trigger some movements).
