For some reason when I hide a clothing item via trigger on timeline at the beginning of my scene the clothing items are detached upon triggering unhide. To reattach the clothing item I have to force reload which removes any customization of the item and does not fix the issue. The strange thing is that the scene appeared to work as intended until I reloaded VAM and attempted to play the scene.

It's better to manipulate the Alpha channel than to hide/unhide. Alpha of -1 is off. Most things have 0 as the default value, but it's better to select Default in the restore trigger than 0, just in case. Some clothes have multiple textures, but it's simple to add them to the trigger. Note which items modify the breasts and take care of them too. The Action Grouper plugin can help with multiple items.

I do not know why I did not think of using alpha channels. thanks

You can also load clothing presets, but I find this disrupts the timeline of a scene. With Alpha channel, all clothing loads at scene load. You can also use the VamOverlay plugin to fade to black for scene changes. That would hide the fact that the model is not moving while a clothing preset loads.

Using clothing presets is the reason I overlooked manipulating alphas. The disruption of timeline as you mentioned was a headache for me. My next solution was to hide/unhide completely overlooking using alphas which is crazy considering in my previous scene I used alphas to get a vanishing effect. I may have gotten stuck on the fact hide/unhide was not working correctly for me.
