Are there any other ways to close a jacket if there is no second version?

It's all dependent on how it was made. For example, YameteOuji has a jacket or two that it's closed with Sim off, and open with Sim on.

Ok, there are no plugins or tutorials for doing this in vam?

This is part of the clothing making process, not something you can edit if you don't have the original clothes from DAZ, Blender, etc.

And to answer the original question, nope there's no way to change the "state" of a piece of clothing in VAM 1 : )
