Hi VAM-Bros (and sisters),

I'm using VAM for a couple of months now with Shadow PC Cloud. At July 2nd I have a 3-month trip around the world and will not be able to use VAM/Shadow PC because of my trip with a backpack.
I will cancel my subscription for Shadow and want to backup all the stuff which is relevant.

My VAM-folder is almost 400 gb space and the download speed from shadow to my own PC is ridiclous, so I wanna ask you which folders I have to backup?
I've tried the search option, but couldn't find all answers.

Which folders do I have to backup for
- looks (paid and own)
- scenes (paid and own)
- presets (appearance/morphs/poses/etc.)

And what about all the plug-ins? Should I backup 'em or is VAM getting it automatically when I load a scene (hub -> missing depend.) ?

To download the full 400 gb VAM-folder is almost impossible, because Shadow PC disconnects after 30 mins without input.

Thanks for answering :)

The bulk of your content is going to be the VARs, as VAM itself and presets yoy may have will be something around 20 GB of the 400 GB.
All VARs are in the AddonPackages folder, and unless you organized them in subfolders for example or know well which ones you want to keep, you'll be having a difficult time to sort which you want to download or not.

The person presets you may have saved you can find them in /Custom/Atom/Person/... These are text files with a picture if you saved one, so pretty quick to download. Naturally, presets just store text information, you'll need whatever VARs they reference to bring in the textures, morphs, etc.
If you saved or made local scenes, those will be in /Saves/scene, if you also have local stuff in the /Custom/ folder, you'll also have to take a look at that.

Ideally you should get the entire VAM folder downloaded and have a local backup. Perhaps you can download in parts and get the whole lot, or else you'll have to spend quite some time organizing your content and picking parts, risking losing things. Or you continue to pay the subscription and do that after coming back.

My opinion only, download all your stuff in chunks and get it off the cloud. SSDs are cheap now. Use an external drive for backup. 2TB drives aren't that expensive.
