by hacks i mean running oculus off the internet.and keep facebook out of my computer.

So far as I know, if you have an Oculus account you do not need to use Facebook until something like 2022, after which it becomes mandatory.
I sign in on Oculus account only. Mind you I have had that account since 2017.
For VAM I do not even bother with Steam.
